We just had our first visit to Cake Box Doncaster, and it’s safe to say we’ve found our new go-to dessert stop.
We finally made it to Cake Box Doncaster, an egg-free cake spot right in the heart of Doncaster city centre on Printing Office Street.
It is a serious sweet stop for anyone with a big cake craving.
Walking in, the shelves were stacked with options. From cupcakes to brownies to 6-inch celebration cakes, we were spoilt for choice.
I went for the chocolate flake, cream and pistachio cake, and it was lovely. The biggest surprise was that the cake is egg-free, yet the sponge was still soft and fluffy.
Everything you want from a dessert place.
Cake Box was founded in 2008, and now has over 250 locations in the UK.
The staff in the Doncaster branch were welcoming and easy to chat to, not hesitating to recommend any of their treats.
The shop felt relaxed and had a proper local vibe from the moment I stepped in.
Everything is freshly baked and easy to sort without hassle.

The only real downside to visiting Cake Box is that I’m on a diet!
If you have not tried it yet, it is well worth a visit.
Just be warned, it is very easy to leave with more cake than planned.
