Tymoteusz Morawski, a Polish-born letting agent now living in Doncaster, is planning to cycle solo from the UK all the way back to his hometown in Poland.
The whole journey could take between 15 and 20 days. But for Tymo, this challenge is about more than just distance.
Speaking about the motivation behind the ride, Tymo described how the past few years pushed him to reflect on the direction his life was heading.
After a period of dependence on alcohol and unhealthy habits, he decided he wanted to make a change. Not just physically, but mentally too.
“I want to show that if you really put your mind to something, you can do it,” he explained.
The cycling challenge has become a symbol of that transformation for him.
Now focused on personal growth, Tymo hopes to inspire others who may be struggling with similar challenges.
The ride is not only a physical test but also a mental one, something Tymo sees as a metaphor for overcoming life’s obstacles.
Unlike many organised charity rides, Tymo will be tackling the journey completely alone.
He plans to sleep in a tent and camp wherever possible, adapting to whatever conditions he faces on the road.
The route will take him across several countries as he pedals his way back to Poland, documenting the journey and its challenges along the way.
“It’s not just about cycling,” he said. “It’s about stepping outside your comfort zone and seeing what you’re really capable of.”
He’s using the ride to raise £2000 to support Save the Children. The charity works around the world to ensure young people have access to food, shelter, healthcare and education.
Tymo hopes the journey will raise awareness as well as donations.
Through sharing his journey on social media, including the highs and the setbacks, he hopes to show people that change is possible.
“This is more than just a trip,” he said. “It’s about becoming the best version of yourself.”
Let’s get behind Tymo on his long road from Doncaster to Poland.
Local lad, big mission, even bigger purpose.
