The livestreams regularly bring in 30,000+ views online, with viewers tuning in daily to watch the barista do his thing.

Scene, which opened in August 2025, is a hole-in-the-wall coffee shop serving up innovative coffees, matchas, and feel-good convos.

Front and centre is their barista Aaron Perks, better known online as Latte Lad. Streaming live on TikTok at @latte.lad, he is serving up proper feel-good content alongside vanilla matchas, caramel cappuccinos and some seriously clean latte art.

Aaron is becoming infamous in the local coffee community for his impressive memory skills, memorising people’s names and orders after just one exchange!

One Tiktok comment even said: “He starts making my drink before I’m at the store.”

On why he livestreams his interactions, barista Aaron said: “I just want to make people happy. I’m a caring person, and want to inspire kindness. One day, I challenged my online community and customers just to smile at one person.”

These livestreams have connected people from beyond just Doncaster.

One customer even told Aaron he got off his cross-country train during a layover in Doncaster, purely to grab a Scene coffee after spotting it online.

People are tuning in from other countries just to watch a local barista’s coffee skills.
Thousands of viewers every week, from a city centre coffee shop. You love to see it.

Scene’s mission is not just to serve world-class coffee.  They aim to connect with their customers and create a real community.

The owners of Scene put it like this: “We’re a TikTok business that sells coffee. Not a coffee shop on TikTok.”
    And honestly, it shows.
