Doncaster-born beauty pageant winner Charlotte Lister is supporting the Great British Spring Clean for the fourth year in a row, encouraging people across Doncaster to get involved and take pride in their area.

The national campaign, run by Keep Britain Tidy, brings together thousands of volunteers every year to tackle litter and improve local spaces.

Charlotte has been a regular supporter of the initiative, joining clean-up efforts and using her platform to raise awareness about the impact of littering.

On the impact of the event, she said: “Taking part in the Great British Spring Clean each year is my way of giving something back. Small actions really do make a big impact.

“The best part about litter picks is seeing people of all ages come together with a shared goal. It’s positive, it’s proactive and it shows real local pride. I’d love to see even more people get involved. Even one bag of rubbish collected makes a difference.”

From parks and streets to green spaces across the borough, volunteers are being encouraged to get involved, whether that’s joining organised litter picks or simply doing their bit while out and about.

The Great British Spring Clean runs annually and has become a key moment for communities to come together and take action.

With people like Charlotte continuing to champion the cause, it’s another example of locals leading the way when it comes to looking after the town.
