Inside the Shelby 1903: Doncaster’s new Peaky Blinders-inspired bar

A brand new bar has officially opened its doors in Doncaster today, bringing a different vibe to the city centre.

The Shelby 1903, a Peaky Blinders-inspired venue, has finally opened its doors to the public today following its soft launch last night, and we got a first look inside.

From the moment we walked in, we sensed how the bar offers something new to Doncaster. The vintage decor and low lighting added to the full 1920’s aesthetic, with both staff and guests dressing up to the occasion!

“It’s dark, romantic, a completely different vibe”, said Leonie, the co-owner of the Shelby. “You can stay out late and still keep it classy”.

We had the pleasure of visiting the Shelby 1903, for its soft opening night! The vibes of this place are truly immaculate, cocktails, guiness, wine and chats… it has it all. The perfect excuse, to put a flat cap on, or a lovely dress. Will we see you here? #TheDon

With table service and an expertly curated cocktail menu, the bar offers a romantic atmosphere perfect for people who don’t fancy a standard night out.

Located right next to the Temple Bar and the Wool Market, the Shelby 1903 is helping to add even more energy to Doncaster city centre.

Open from lunchtime through to late, the bar welcomes guests every day except Mondays and Wednesdays.

So, get your flat cap on and flapper dresses ready, and pay the Shelby 1903 a visit.
