For the third consecutive year, eight parks across Doncaster have been awarded the prestigious Green Flag Award.
Presented by environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy, the accreditation recognises parks and green spaces that are welcoming, well-maintained, and have plenty to offer visitors.
The eight award-winning parks are:
Celebrating the achievement, Mayor of Doncaster Ros Jones said:
“We take great pride in looking after our parks and green spaces, as we know just how much they mean to local residents, families and communities.
“A lot of work goes into making sure that these sites meet the highest standards and it’s an honour to see that effort being recognised once again by the Green Flag judges.”
All eight parks are well worth a visit, but if you’re looking for somewhere to start, these are some of our favourites:
🌳 Cusworth Hall Park
Perfect if you’re after a scenic walk. The historic parkland offers stunning views across Doncaster, plenty of open space and is home to a popular weekly Parkrun every Saturday morning.

🌿 Sandall Park
One of Doncaster’s most popular family parks, Sandall Park has something for everyone. There’s a large play area, a picturesque lake that’s ideal for a stroll, outdoor gym equipment and plenty of space for a picnic on a sunny day.
🐕 Town Field
A favourite with dog walkers and runners, Town Field is one of Doncaster’s best-loved green spaces. Located just a short walk from the city centre, it’s the perfect place to enjoy some fresh air without travelling far.
If you’ve never explored some of the others, Bentley Park, Campsall Country Park, Elmfield Park, Hexthorpe Park and Quarry Park are all well worth adding to your list too.

It’s great to see Doncaster’s parks receiving national recognition again, and with so many fantastic green spaces on our doorstep, there’s never been a better excuse to get outside this summer.
